🟢IHS Volunteer Driver Program


Door-to-door rides from trusted volunteers for eligible seniors and adults with disabilities.

  • For medical appointments, grocery trips, and errands

🟢Faith in Action


Volunteer-based support to help seniors and people with disabilities live independently at home and in the community. Services include:


  • Shopping Assistance
  • Transportation
  • Handyman Services
  • Yard Work
  • Friendly Visits
  • Respite Care (Drop-In or In-Home)
  • Telephone Reassurance
  • Housekeeping

  • A statewide, no-wrong-door program connecting seniors and people with disabilities to long-term support services, including transportation options


  • In Steuben County, it directs individuals to the right local transit and transportation services




🟢AIM Independent Living Center


  • Offers advocacy, assistive-technology loans, NY Connects counseling, and more to support independence for people with disabilities


  • Serves Steuben, Chemung & Schuyler counties - including help with transportation solutions



🟢Pro Action of Steuben & Yates


  • Runs a home-delivered meals program and provides volunteer-driven rides for medical and grocery trips


  • Also offers grants like "Wheels for Work" to support transportation and eliminate barriers to employment



🟢Steuben County Office for the Aging - Project CARE/Easy Rider


  • Project CARE offers non-emergency medical riders via Steuben Coordinated Transportation and volunteer drivers


  • Easy Rider Senior Transport bring seniors (age 60+) to grocery stores on pre-set-routes-seats reserved by calling 607-664-2298
